Frequently Asked

Frequently asked

What is freeze-dried raw?

Real ingredients — muscle meat, organ, bone, vegetables — frozen at –50°F under vacuum, never cooked. The moisture sublimates while enzymes, amino acids, and heat-sensitive vitamins survive intact. The result is shelf-stable for 18 months, lightweight, and nutritionally closer to a dog's biological diet than any kibble.

How is this different from kibble?

Kibble is extruded at 250°F. Most of what was nutritionally meaningful is denatured by that heat. Manufacturers add synthetic vitamins back in afterward to meet AAFCO minimums. ODO never adds back what we never destroyed.

How do I feed it?

You can feed ODO dry, straight from the bag, or rehydrate it with warm water 5–10 minutes before serving. Most dogs prefer it rehydrated.

How much does my dog need?

It depends on weight, age, and activity. Use the feeding calculator on the homepage, or as a rough rule: roughly 2–3% of your dog's body weight in freeze-dried food per day, split across two meals.

Is it complete and balanced?

Yes. Every ODO formula meets AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages, including the growth of large-size dogs (70+ lbs as adults).

How do I switch from kibble?

Slowly. Replace 25% of your dog's kibble with ODO for 3–4 days, then 50% for 3–4 days, then 75%, then full ODO. Most dogs transition cleanly inside two weeks.

What if my dog has allergies?

No. 02 Wild Salmon is single-protein and chicken/beef-free — the gold standard for sensitive dogs. If your dog has a confirmed allergy, ask your vet about rotating proteins.

How long does a bag last?

For a 30 lb dog at 2.5% of body weight per day: a 14oz bag is about 4 days, a 32oz is about 10 days, a 64oz is about 21 days.

When do I get my first order?

The launch lineup ships in July 2026. We're a pre-order today. You'll be charged at order, and we'll email you when your bag is on its way.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime, from your account page. No phone calls. No "are you sure?" pop-ups.

Where is ODO made?

In a small, USDA-inspected freeze-drying facility in the United States. We'll publish the location once our co-packer agreement is final.
