Most dog food is built for the manufacturer's convenience. ODO is built for the dog. Here's where every ingredient comes from — and the standards we hold each one to.

The standard

Every protein in an ODO bag traces to a named farm or fishery. Not a region. Not a category. A specific operation we'd put our own dog in front of.

We don't use rendering plants. We don't use 4-D meat (the dead, dying, diseased, or disabled animals legally permitted in conventional pet food). We don't use anything labeled "meat meal," "animal digest," or "poultry by-product." If we can't say what an ingredient does in plain English, it doesn't go in.

The freeze-dried process happens at –50°F under vacuum. The moisture sublimates while enzymes, amino acids, and heat-sensitive vitamins survive intact. Nothing is cooked. Nothing is extruded.

No. 01 — Grass-Fed Beef

Hero protein: 95% USDA-certified grass-fed, grass-finished beef from a Northern Great Plains ranch network. Single-pasture, never feedlot-finished. Slaughtered and processed at small USDA-inspected facilities under 200 head per day.

Functional ingredients: organic vegetables (spinach, carrot, pumpkin), organic kelp, ground flaxseed, blueberry, turmeric, wild salmon oil.

Specific farm partners are being finalized with our co-packer. We will name every operation publicly the day they ship our first bag.

No. 02 — Wild Salmon

Hero protein: Wild-caught Alaskan salmon and Pacific cod from MSC-certified fisheries. Processed within 24 hours of catch. Never farmed.

Functional ingredients: wild salmon roe, organic sweet potato, organic pumpkin, organic kelp and dulse, cranberry, turmeric, ground flax.

Specific fishery partners are being finalized with our co-packer. We will name every operation publicly the day they ship our first bag.

What we mean by single-origin

It means the beef in your bag came from one ranch network, not a global commodity blender. The salmon came from one fishery cooperative, not a flag-of-convenience trawler. We can tell you which one. We will tell you which one. The QR code on every bag opens to its batch — origin, harvest date, lot number.

"Natural" is a meaningless legal floor. Provenance is the ceiling we build to.
